Gallery site: New for 2013!

Some of you MAY have already had a chance to experience my new gallery site, but if you haven't, CHECK IT OUT (see the tab above)!  I have made some changes to help smooth out my work flow as well as allowing me to send along client photo files MUCH faster!  I have now added a 'smug mug site' to my arsenal of tools and so far, it has worked great!  I am now uploading all completed photo collections into a password protected gallery that you can share with your friends and family.  I am also able to now send a link to clients that will allow them to download their photos straight into their computer.  That's right, I eliminated discs.  I am sure there will be exceptions (Wedding clients will still get a disc), but with no discs, means no extra day of process packaging the disc and getting it to the mailbox AND no waiting a few days for the mailman to bring it!  In most cases, this new method is knocking atleast 3-4 days off of my old turn around time.  WOO HOO!!!

New for 2013: Mini-Session Parties!

Looking for something new to do on an afternoon with your friends?  Family get togethers seeming a little "same old, same old"?  I have an idea... How about a Mini-Session Party!

All you have to do is get together some of your friends and/or family who would like to get some fresh photos on their walls and then we will workout a date and Location!  3 or more "sessions" is a Party!  Get 5 or more sessions together and you get some special pricing options!  For the "parties" we'll do all of the mini-Sessions (20-30 minutes each) at a set location and we'll wrap up with a big shot of you and your photo-friends!

The idea of this came to me when I realized that on many of my mini-session dates, SEVERAL of the participants knew one another and I kept thinking... wouldn't this be fun to turn it into a bit of a "get together"?!  I'm all about fun when it comes to my photo sessions.  The more lighthearted, the more laughter... THE BETTER!

So grab your Friends, your Grandma, your cooler, some snacks and get ready for some FUN in 2013!

Mini-Session Parties will be available starting in Spring 2013!!!  Let me know if you're interested!

Ashley + Senior Session

I was so excited to have the opportunity to shoot Ashley's Senior Photos.  Not only because we are distant cousins (4th... 5th???) and couldn't even remember when we saw one another last (she might have been a baby for all I can remember), but also because she is a dancer!  Yay!  And NOT ONLY is is she a dancer, but she is a dancer who was totally open to doing her senior session in... a CEMETERY!  I know, it sounds gothic and a little out there, but the cemetery we did her shoot in is honestly more like a park... beautiful. Nothing like it.  So thank you Ashley for being gorgeous and easy going and for letting me remove "Ballet Dancer in a Cemetery" from my Photography Bucket-List!

Patrick and Laura

One can only imagine the excitement and slight anxiety I had when my husband's cousin, or as I call her, my "cousin-in-law", asked me be the photographer for her wedding.  I was thrilled, but if there is a wedding you want to do exceptional work for.... is that of a family member.  I planned and planned hard for months for this day.  I didn't want to miss a shot.  I was a little stressed as I approached Laura's house where she was getting ready for her big day.  Well, as soon as I saw her glowing smile, I was at ease and ready to do the best job I could.  I reminded myself then, "hey!  It's family!  It's fun!".  So that's how the rest of the day was.  The Bride was gorgeous, the Groom and his groomsmen were a constant source of laughter and entertainment and the weather was perfect!  Editing through Laura and Patrick's photos was complete enjoyment to me.  I got to relive the day.  I even cried when I cam across a photo of my husband's uncle dancing with his newly wed Little girl.  So congratulations Patrick and Laura!  I look forward to years of laughter and memories with both of you!
