Ashley + Senior Session

I was so excited to have the opportunity to shoot Ashley's Senior Photos.  Not only because we are distant cousins (4th... 5th???) and couldn't even remember when we saw one another last (she might have been a baby for all I can remember), but also because she is a dancer!  Yay!  And NOT ONLY is is she a dancer, but she is a dancer who was totally open to doing her senior session in... a CEMETERY!  I know, it sounds gothic and a little out there, but the cemetery we did her shoot in is honestly more like a park... beautiful. Nothing like it.  So thank you Ashley for being gorgeous and easy going and for letting me remove "Ballet Dancer in a Cemetery" from my Photography Bucket-List!

Patrick and Laura

One can only imagine the excitement and slight anxiety I had when my husband's cousin, or as I call her, my "cousin-in-law", asked me be the photographer for her wedding.  I was thrilled, but if there is a wedding you want to do exceptional work for.... is that of a family member.  I planned and planned hard for months for this day.  I didn't want to miss a shot.  I was a little stressed as I approached Laura's house where she was getting ready for her big day.  Well, as soon as I saw her glowing smile, I was at ease and ready to do the best job I could.  I reminded myself then, "hey!  It's family!  It's fun!".  So that's how the rest of the day was.  The Bride was gorgeous, the Groom and his groomsmen were a constant source of laughter and entertainment and the weather was perfect!  Editing through Laura and Patrick's photos was complete enjoyment to me.  I got to relive the day.  I even cried when I cam across a photo of my husband's uncle dancing with his newly wed Little girl.  So congratulations Patrick and Laura!  I look forward to years of laughter and memories with both of you!
